K. Dumas & his Council "marionettes" tonight: LIVE!

The 2/25/14 issue of The Sun Chronicle says that Mayor Dumas will ask the Municipal Council to approve 'amending' the Urban Renewal Bond to pay the court-ordered Judgment against the ARA and the City.

Was it not previously established that the ARA (and its de facto co-signer, the City) had three (3) sources to pay ARA salaries in 2009, including the "Urban Renewal Bond"?   Now, all of a sudden, it IS construed by the mayor as "available".   The phrase, "double-speak", comes to mind . . as a kindly description.

Now, the word, "bond", should tell everyone that this is, in reality, borrowing.   Borrowing over the long-term future to pay for ill-advised, dubious mayoral decision-making.  It's the equivalent of someone buying a new Lincoln town car with a 25-year loan.   Can't get such, you say?   Government can . . . "on your dime" . . or your grand-kids dime, in reality.

It all translates into eventually paying around six million over twenty or twenty-five years . . . for a reckless loss that could have easily been avoided.   THAT is the real 'kicker' . . . ALL the now 1.75 million bucks is already total waste:  real money down a big rat-hole.   And now the bill has come due . . . and the mayor wants to borrow MORE money just to pay for his injudicious, petulant jealousy of Milanoski's salary.   How pathetic, especially when Dumas approved Mike's transfer from the City to the ARA back in 2005!   Only a short time later, he found out how much salary that Mike was collecting, and it became a totally different story.   Mama mia; we all wanted it to be more complex than than, didn't we?   Something with "more pizzazz . . . just didn't exist.   We didn't want to "over-simplify" it, did we?   Well, it's mighty simple after all.

Boy, this whole thing is something to be really proud of, eh?   Paddleboro of another sort, maybe.
