Student Leadership Training Program Information Session

What are the biggest lessons you’ve learned in life? Did you learn by reading a book? By your favorite lecture? Or by doing something? Most likely it was through something you did, or something that happened to you.

It’s the same with growth as a leader. When students directly help someone in need, they grow as an individual and as a leader.

Students looking to develop their interpersonal and leadership skills this summer are invited to attend an information session about the Student Leadership Training Program at 7:00pm on May 14th at the Attleboro Public Library.

The Student Leadership Training Program (SLTP) sponsors leadership conferences for adults and student leaders.  The conferences are intense five day workshops which bring together student leaders from all over the United States and Canada.  The conferences are designed to increase self understanding and confidence; foster development of leadership skills; to improve communication skills; and to define the role of student leaders.  This is a "hands-on" experience, as the student leaders are involved in a practical laboratory style experience.
