Jacob Mayo Memorial Fund Dinner and Fundraiser

Barrett's Alehouse in Fall River is hosting an Italian-style buffet dinner to raise funds for the Jacob Mayo Memorial Fund on Saturday, Jan. 29.

Jacob Mayo was an 18-year-old Seekonk High School senior who was  on Interstate 195 West in Seekonk in December by a hit-and-run driver. An honor roll student who recently was awarded the Abigail Adams Scholarship as well as a Varsity Baseball, Football and Basketball player, community members are putting together a memorial scholarship in Jacob's name for future Seekonk High School students. The event includes a hockey game scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 29, at 1:30 p.m. in the Driscoll Ice Rink located in Fall River. A fundraiser to fund the scholarship will be at Barrett’s Alehouse, located at 4171 North Main St., Fall River, at 3:30 pm.

It costs $20 per person to attend the Italian style buffet dinner. Tickets can be purchased at the Country Kitchen and the Seekonk High School main office. Checks can be made out to the Friends of Jacob Mayo Memorial Fund. For more information call Tracy and Tony Gaucher at 401-829-8947.
