Grace Baptist Christian Academy Sponsors Clothing Drive

ATTLEBORO – Students, faculty and staff members of Grace Baptist Christian Academy of Attleboro are currently operating a clothing drive to benefit needy people in other parts of the world and are soliciting donations.

According to Billi Jo Nichols (a teacher at the school), who is coordinating the drive, the program began Nov. 14 and will continue to Dec. 9. Men’s, women’s and children’s clothing items of any kind are acceptable for donation.

“As long as the clothing is useable and wearable, we will accept it,” Nichols said.

Nichols stressed that donations will be gladly accepted from any sources and not just those associated with GBCA. On Dec. 10, she said, all donations will be shipped to the A&E Clothing Corp. of Carteret, N.J., which will forward them to needy people in Latin America, Central America, South America, Asia, Africa and Europe.

Donations may be delivered to the school located at 1000 Oak Hill Avenue in Attleboro during regular school hours. For further information, contact the school by telephone at 508-222-8675.
