Attleboro Couple Asks for Help Saving Puppy

An Attleboro resident has taken to GoFundMe.com to ask for help with his dog's medical treatment.

Hello, My name is Bethany! My boyfriend (John) and I adopted a 9 week old puppy we named Wicket! About a week of us having him came down with a deadly virus named Parvovirus, it is a very deadly virus to puppies, but caught quickly they have a 80% survival rate!  We caught the virus very quickly and hospitalized him the very day he had symptoms present.  To get this adorable puppy treatment is very costly! I immediately feel in love with Wicket, and we decided we had to do everything within our power to give this puppy his fighting chance!  I am a United States Marine Iraq war veteran, currently going to school full time. My boyfriend is a welder and going to school part time and paying out of pocket for his school.  So we do not make that much money.  So any money we can get as a donation will be a enormous help!!!  WE love this little guy and we want to make sure he gets all the medical help he needs to get him to pull through this! The updates we get from the vets are very positive and he is improving!

Unlike other crowdfunding websites like Kickstarter, GoFundMe focuses more on helping people fund very personal goals. So in addition to traditional charitable causes, you may find someone who is asking for help financing a car payment or paying for a honeymoon.
