On Sunday, November 4, the Attleboro Land Trust will sponsor a guided walk, led by local naturalist Gary Krofta, to the edge of the Hemlock Swamp, a vast tract of wetlands that lies east of Slater Street on the boundary line between Attleboro and Norton. The route will cross private land, go through land protected by the Attleboro Conservation Commission, and arrive at the edge of the Blottman-Kenton Nature Preserve, which is owned by the Attleboro Land Trust. Highlights of the walk will include a beautiful stand of hemlock trees and some native holly trees.
The walk is free and open to the public and will be held rain or shine. Meet at 1:00 pm at the end of K-Marie Drive off Slater Street in Attleboro. Waterproof footwear is recommended.
