The transfer station will be accepting resident yard waste; Christmas trees will be picked up curbside throughout January.

Not feeling like watching your Christmas tree wilt away into a pile of needles? The Department of Public Works will pick up Christmas trees left on the curb throughout the month of January.

The transfer station located behind the American Legion Hall at 350 Fall River Ave. is open to process resident yard waste. There is no fee or permit required to drop off yard waste; however, a valid Seekonk photo ID must be presented.

Regular operating hours:

  • Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. (Closed noon to 12:30 p.m. for lunch)
  • The second and fourth Saturday of each month from 8 a.m. to noon.
  • The station will be closed on Monday, Dec. 30 and Jan. 2. It will also close at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 30.
