Seekonk Hosts Annual Tree Lighting [VIDEO]

Seekonk's annual tree lighting featured a visit from Mr. and Mrs. Claus.

The annual tree lighting at Thursday night featured performances from the Hurley Middle School brass band, carols sung by Girl Scout Troop 460 and a visit from Mr. and Mrs. Claus.

Abbie Hopkins, winner of last year’s , treated the large crowd with her rendition of “O' Holy Night."

Mr. and Mrs. Claus arrived in a Seekonk Fire Department truck and children were able to take pictures and talk to them outside of Town Hall before heading inside for hot chocolate and cookies.

This was the seventh annual Tree Lightning sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Greater Seekonk. Kiwanis is a global organization of community service volunteers.
