Patch Picks: Valentine's Day Family Activities and Date Spots

Here are some ways to celebrate this Monday's Valentine's Day.

Not sure what to do with your main squeeze on cupid's favorite day? Here are some things to do and places to celebrate on this Valentine’s Day. Don't forget it's on Monday!

  • A date at home:  Find someone to watch the kids, make your honey their favorite home cooked meal, light some candles, and dance to romantic music. If you are married, dance to your wedding song.
  • Patriot Place, Foxboro, MA: This is a perfect place to do dinner and a movie. There are restaurants galore! Tastings wine bar and Bistro has a special running for Valentine’s Day. Enjoy a delightful three-course meal and then head on over to the cinema.  The cost is $35 a person, excluding tax and tip.  This offer is available daily, except Monday and Saturday.  Purchase online or at Tastings and make a reservation today at (508) 203-9463.  Bring your valentine or a friend!
  • , Seekonk, MA:  This fairly new establishment serves up an Italian feast and is open right on Valentine’s Day.
  • Family fun:  This is a fun idea with your kids! Get some red construction papers, stickers, and other fun crafty things to make your own valentine cards for each other.
  • There’s always candy:  You can find all kinds of chocolate at pretty much every store.  From CVS to Macy's (Yes, even Macy’s has Godiva treats! No matter what your budget is, you can find a sweet treat for your guy/girl. Or maybe just buy yourself a little something! Those little conversation hearts are a favorite of my kids.
