Out of Batteries, But More On the Way

Eastern Supply has been non-stop busy selling out of generators, batteries and more.

on North Main Street in downtown Attleboro has been non-stop busy.

The store sold out of generators Thursday, there were only 10 D batteries left of the more than 500 that were in stock, at 4 p.m. Friday and the manager had to restock the entrance with additional red portable gas containers after the others sold out. 

"The D batteries are the main thing that everyone's coming for," said Easter Supply Employee Walter Delude.

Has it been a busy day?

"Busy is an understatement," said Eastern Supply manager Paul Ladouceur. "The generators were gone by 9 a.m. Wednesday and the gas containers have been going."

"Tomorrow will be a big day for tape," he said late Friday. The store expects more supplies in by Tuesday as trucks bound for Massachusetts have left the factory already.
