Obituaries: Courtney, Johnson

The following are obituaries for Attleboro. 

Doris A. Courtney
Doris A. Courtney, 82, a homemaker, of North Avenue, Attleboro, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, and sister, passed peacefully on July 15, 2013 at home surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of the late Eugene A. Courtney who recently passed. 
Born in Manchester, N.H May 18, 1931, she was a daughter of the late James and Mary (St. Laurent) Helliwell. Doris enjoyed traveling to Florida, going to the beach, and playing BINGO. She liked to take trips in her car and take her family out to dinner.
She was a selfless and devoted mother who was very family orientated. She loved spending time with and helping to raise her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. 
Doris is survived by six children; Linda Corriea of Raynham, Diane Butler of Raynham, Patricia Tourinho of Port Charlotte, Florida, Michael Courtney of Burrillville, RI, Cheryl Lopes of Attleboro, and Eugene F. Courtney of Attleboro, a brother; George Helliwell of South Carolina, a sister; Linda Runyard of Wisconsin, 20 grandchildren, twenty eight great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, and family friend and caregiver Kelly Henry. She was the mother of the late David Courtney and sister of the late James Helliwell. 
At the request of the family visiting hours are respectfully omitted and all funeral services are private. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck Street, Attleboro.

Robert W. Johnson
Robert W. Johnson, 74, of Attleboro, MA, died Monday July 15th at Cortland Place, Smithfield., RI. He was the husband of Maxine (Frahm) Johnson. Bob was a lifelong church musician.
He was the minister of music at the Second Church of Newton from 1985-2005. Besides his wife he is survived by two daughters Brenda Johnson and her husband Robert Barringer of Charlton, N.Y. and Janine Johnson and her husband Marc Dahl of Eagle River, Alaska. Brother of Philip Johnson and wife Barbara of Oak Hill, VA, cousin of Dr. Peter Acker and Caroline Acker and uncle of Tim Johnson, Kenneth Johnson and David Johnson.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
