Little Bit of Paradise: Elizabeth Grady Company

Come to the Commerce Way salon to get a massage or moisturizing facial.

Looking for a bit of relaxation? Then the Elizabeth Grady Company is the place to don a robe and enjoy a massage. If skin care is more your speed, facials are also on the menu.

According to salon owner Karen Roche, the Commerce Way business is strictly an aesthetics salon - meaning employees are not hairdressers and only complete services like facials, massages and waxes. According to Roche, the Seekonk branch is a part of one of the largest franchised companies of skin services in the country. In fact, the Grady Bill (named after the company) made it a U.S. law to have employees acquire a license before performing aesthetics services in clients.

According to Roche, the clientele tend to be Baby Boomers who would like to take care of their skin. Wrinkles are shrunk with cleanses and daily moisturizers are sold in store, said Roche.

"We've been around for about 45 years," she said, noting healthy skin looks more youthful. "We address the aging process."

Clients tend to visit regularly to keep up with skin care regimens, an imperative part of the beautification process. Treatments like Vitamin A solutions are used to exfoliate and renew the skin's healthy glow. Massages are also one of the more popular services.
