Flood Advisory Issued for Region

The Nation Weather Service predicted flooding to occur in areas near streams and ponds.

The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch on Monday. According to a release, a "swath of rain" will be hitting the Bristol County region throughout the day. 

One to three inches can be expected in the afternoon. Three to five can be expected by nightfall. Drivers are advised to avoid roads near streams and ponds. The advisory will be in affect until 10 p.m.

According to the Seekonk Police Department, no road closures have been issued.
