As a young girl, Emily Antonik was moved by a St. Luke’s commercial that she watched on television. Her mother took note of Emily’s tender heart toward a child they did not know who suffered with a critical illness and complete hair loss.

As Emily progressed through elementary school, she and her mom took the care to grow out Emily’s hair in anticipation of donating it to Locks of Love. This year, as a third-grade student at l, Emily donated 11 inches of her hair to kindly share with a Locks of Love wig recipient.

Showing support for Emily’s heartfelt donation, Louisa Sousa with donated her time to give Emily an adorable new haircut. She carefully braided and cut Emily’s hair so that her long locks could be used by Locks of Love to create a wig for someone in great need.

After Emily’s wonderful experience this year, she wholeheartedly decided that she would continue to grow her hair with hopes and plans to share it again.
