Artiste Art and Craft Studio Offers Classes and Events for New Year

For those looking for something to do, Artiste Art and Craft Studio, located at the former Whiting Davis Building, 23 West Bacon Street, Plainville, has much to offer for the new year. The studio, which opened in September 2013, is offering classes for both children and adults as well as specialty events. Upcoming adult classes include Soapmaking, Cake Decorating, Kumihimo, our monthly Make A Scene Paint Night, Drawing, Pastels, Oil Painting and more. Ongoing adult and children's Zentangle meditative drawing classes are also offered. Upcoming events include the bi-weekly onsite Artisan Marketplace beginning February 1, a holiday Chocolate, Jewelry and Wine event and an outdoor Spring Arts Show. The studio also features an ongoing retail space with local handmade art and craft including painting, clay, photography, glass, jewelry, wood and more. January open studio hours are Saturdays 10am - 1pm with special projects available for children.
