Pipe Burst Forces Salon Owner to Evacuate

Ann LaValley says she hopes to open a temporary space at another salon.

A 31-year-old hair salon business and several residencies were casualties of the freezing temperatures in Attleboro. A water pipe burst Monday at the building at 19-29 Bank Street, causing severe damage to Ann LaValley's hair salon and residential units. People were forced to evacuate.

"There was just streaks and streaks of water," LaValley told ABC 6 in Providence. "Total destruction."

LaValley, who has no employees, told ABC 6 she hopes to open a temporary space at another salon.
