Time is Running Out For Athena Nomination

You have until Feb. 17 to nominate an outstanding community member for an ATHENA Award.

The United Regional Chamber of Commerce is hosting its annual ATHENA Award Luncheon on March 21 and is accepting ATHENA recipient nominations through Feb. 17.

The ATHENA Award recognizes the accomplishments of an outstanding community member that demonstrates excellence, creativity and initiative in his or her profession; provides valuable service by devoting time and energy to improve the quality of life for others in the community; and assists women in reaching their full leadership potential.

The Women in Business Expo Held is held in conjunction with the ATHENA luncheon. The Expo provides opportunities for women-owned or women-managed businesses to feature services and products at booths circling the banquet room.

Another way for companies to get involved is by providing spring-themed centerpieces for the luncheon. The gala begins at 11 a.m. at Highland Country Club, 104 Mechanic St., Attleboro. The cost of the luncheon is $30 per person. The cost to exhibit at the Women in Business Expo is $125 for Chamber members and $179 for non-members, including one luncheon reservation. The guest speaker for the luncheon is Massachusetts State Auditor Suzanne Bump.
