Sturdy Memorial Wins Marketing Awards

The New England Society for Healthcare Communications recognizes the Attleboro hospital.

Sturdy Memorial Hospital was among the winners at this year’s New England Society for Healthcare Communications (NESHCo) Lamplighter Awards held recently in Newport.

The Attleboro hospital was recognized with two Gold (first place) Lamplighter Awards, one in the “Print Advertising, Produced In-House” category for Sturdy’s 2012 Primary Care Providers Print Campaign, a campaign that emphasized Sturdy’s commitment to providing area residents with quality, experienced physicians. The second Gold award was received in the “Marketing/Total Effort - Under $50,000 Total Budget” category for the 2012 Pelvic Floor Muscle Rehabilitation (PFMR) Campaign, which promoted Sturdy’s noninvasive, effective treatment option for bladder issues like incontinence.

Additionally, Sturdy received an Award of Excellence (third place) in the “Advertising Total Campaign” category for the 2012 Emergency Care Center Campaign that increased awareness of its emergency services.

The New England Society for Healthcare Communications is a regional organization for marketing and communications professionals in the health care field.

According to Scott Orstad, NESHCo president, “The Lamplighter Awards are the region’s signature event for recognizing the best and brightest public relations, marketing, and communications work from health care organizations throughout New England.”
