Should Liquor Sales Be Allowed in Attleboro Before Noon on Sundays?

State Rep. Steve Howitt is hoping a bill he introduced at the state house will help area liquor stores stay on par with bordering Rhode Island.

According to WPRI, Howitt's bill would allow the sale of liquor at 10 a.m. on Sundays instead of noon. The bill comes at the same time Rhode Island is introducing a similar bill and Howitt hopes it will allow Massachusetts stores to better compete with Rhode Island stores.

As Attleboro borders the Ocean State, it is one of the towns and cities Howitt hopes to help with the bill.
