Park Street Pizza a Product of Patience
Chris Pennisi and Paul Albrecht opened Park Street Pizza four years ago, and Pennisi said it was a childhood dream come true.
"My buddy and I worked in pizza shops when we were younger and we decided to open our own," Pennisi said.
The two worked at the Sharon House of Pizza for years as children. Pennisi moved on to work in other fields, but Albrecht stayed to learn the trade.
There was a small celebration this month at Jonathan's Coffee Cafe in Attleboro, and in its short existence, the cafe has become one of the major daytime social scenes in Attleboro.
The Union Street business marked its fourth anniversary and Jonathan Friedman, who operates the place with his mother Ann, enjoyed his 28th birthday.

In the wake of an early morning shooting which took place outside Whiplash nightclub on Wyman St. in Stoughton April 21, Police Chief Paul Shastany and Executive Officer (now Deputy Chief) Robert Devine appeared before selectmen April 23 and recommended selectmen take "aggressive" and "bold" action against the club's licenses.
Selectmen later voted to revoke Whiplash's entertainment license, suspend its alcohol license for 30 days (commencing June 1) and to modify the liquor license to impose a closing time of 11 p.m.

Michael Scouras has been at Nicky’s in Wrentham for more than a decade, but his travels had brought him a lot farther than that.
A musician, Scouras said he’s worked with legends such as Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, Brian Adams and Pat Benatar, just to name a few. He went to more than 54 countries in that line of work.
Though the life of a roadie may seem like a good life, Scouras said after a while it lost its appeal for him.
