UPDATE: Hockomock and Pleasant Street YMCAs Open Doors for Neighbors

If you need to charge your phone or take a hot shower, visit the Franklin or North Attleboro YMCA.

The Franklin and North Attleboro branches of the Hockomock YMCA and Attleboro's Pleasant Street branch are opening their doors to people in Attleboro and other nearby communities who were impacted by Tropical Storm Irene.

“We want to help our neighbors in our local communities who have been impacted by Sunday’s storm," said YMCA President Ed Hurley. "In this spirit, we are opening up our facilities for people to take a hot shower, charge their cell phones, or simply get out of the house. Our YMCA’s doors will be open to all during this difficult period."

The Hockomock Area YMCA’s Foxboro branch and the Attleboro YMCA's downtown branch will remain closed until commercial power is restored.
