High Speed Network Access Coming to Attleboro and Neighboring Towns

Verizon Wireless tries to meet residents' need for speed.

Verizon Wireless announced today that it was bringing its 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) network to Atteboro and the Greater Providence area beginning Nov. 17.

People in Attleboro, Easton, Seekonk, Mansfield and Rhode Island communities including East Providence and Cranston who have one of the 13 supported devices will have access to the high speed network, according to press release.

The company is promising speeds up to 10 times faster than its own 3G network.

“Verizon Wireless’ 4G LTE network will offer tremendous opportunity to Providence’s residents and businesses to better connect and innovate,” said Christine Berberich, New England Region President for Verizon Wireless. “As New England’s wireless leader, we continue to invest in and expand our 4G LTE coverage across the region and look forward to bringing Providence and surrounding communities on board in November.”
