Charitable Foundation Doles Out $500 for a Good Cause

The Bristol County Savings Bank has presented a check to the North Attleborough Scholarship Foundation.

The is putting money back into the community. Anawon Trust, a division of Bristol County Savings Bank, recently presented a check from the BCSB foundation to William Moffitt, treasurer of the North Attleborough Scholarship Foundation, which has awarded more than $1.5 million in scholarships to 890 North Attleborough High School graduating seniors since its inception.

The Bristol County Savings Charitable Foundation was established in the mid-1990s as part of the Bristol County Savings Bank's 150-year anniversary. The purpose of the foundation is to take part in contributing to the well-being of people living in the greater Attleboro/Taunton area. 

Since its start, the BCSC Foundation has awarded more than $7.4 million in grants to non-profit organizations.
