Attleboro Business Number One on RI Delinquent Tax List

S & P Temporary Help Services Inc. has a backlog in taxes owed to Rhode Island.

S&P Temporary Help Services Inc. ,located at 703 Washington St. in South Attleboro is behind on more than $3.1 million in taxes to the State of Rhode Island, according to an online list published by the State of Rhode Island Division of Taxation.

According to Rhode Island State Law, the Rhode Island Tax Administrator is allowed to publish lists of the top delinquent taxpayers, which includes those inviduals or busiensses that owe the largest amount of state tax and whose taxes have been unpaid for more than 90 days after the date their taxes were due.

Number one on the list of 100 taxpayers with the largest amount of delinquent business taxes was S&P.

The state uses the tax revenue for its public services including public safety, transportation, health care and education.

More than 23 states nationwide – including Connecticut and Massachusetts – use Internet lists to help collect unpaid taxes.
