The United Regional Chamber of Commerce is hosting its annual ATHENA Award Luncheon on March 21 and is seeking nominations for the award recipient. The ATHENA Award Luncheon will recognize the accomplishments of an outstanding community member. An international recognition program that celebrates the potential of all women as valued members and leaders of the community and recognizes those who support them, the ATHENA award will be presented to a nominated male or female that meets the specific criteria.

He or she must: demonstrate excellence, creativity and initiative in his or her business or profession; provide valuable service by devoting time and energy to improve the quality of life for others in the community; and assist women in reaching their full leadership potential. Call the Chamber at 508-222-0801, 508-528-2800 or 508-695-6011 to request nomination forms, due by Feb. 17.

Held in conjunction with the ATHENA luncheon is the Women in Business Expo. The Expo provides opportunities for women-owned or women-managed businesses to feature services and products at booths circling the banquet room.

The ATHENA Award Luncheon and Women in Business Expo is on Wed., March 21 at Highland Country Club, 104 Mechanic St., Attleboro. The cost of the luncheon is $30 per person. The cost to exhibit at the Women in Business Expo is $125 for Chamber members, including one luncheon reservation, and $179 for non-members, including one luncheon reservation. The guest speaker for the luncheon is Massachusetts State Auditor Suzanne Bump.
