As Luck Would Have it, Patch Picks the Best Places for Corned Beef and Cabbage

Lucky for you, we did the searching for the best places that serve a traditional Irish meal.

  1. - Morin's is planning a great day of Irish food and drinking by serving traditional corned beef and with carrots, beets, turnips and boilded dinners.  They will also be offering a huge buffet of Irish entrees, sides, soups and salads. It includes dessert and a beverage.
  2.  - Wetherlaine's is featuring its own corned beef and cabbage dinner for $7.99. But, if your not interested in the beef, they also have chicken O’Brian which is Medallions of chicken in an Irish Whiskey cream sauce for $12.99. Gaelic sirloin might strike your fancy instead, this sirloin is a 12 oz .center-cut seared steak in Irish Whiskey and flame broiled with mushrooms for $16.99.
  3. - Corned feef and cabbage is the Special of the day. The Chieftain, located in Plainville, offers entertainment for the night beginning at 5 p.m. Taking the stage are the Berkshire Valley Boys.
  4. Doherty’s East Avenue - It just so happens Doherty’s in Pawtucket,RI offers acoustic rock every Thursday starting at 8:30 p.m. Tonigh, for St. Patty's Day, it will feature Matt McKay and Shawn Reilly. The restaurant boasts the 81 drafts of beer the restaurant has to offer. Available Irish meals include devil shrimp, corned beef and cabbage, shephard’s pie and bangers (sausag) and mash. 
  5. - Trinity has live music all day, from noon to 3:30 Mike Roche will take the stage, from 4-8 p.m. it will feature Dan & Bob and to close out the night will be the Celtic Pirates. Rumor has it bagpipers and stepdancers appear at different times during the entertainment. Of course they will also have a special menu available which includes corned beef and cabbage.
