Attleboro High Girls Hoop Off to a Great Start!

The Lady Bombardiers competed in a pre season Turkey Tip-Off at the Sudbury Field House, coming home with a 4-0 record!

In the opening game versus Buckingham, Browne and Nichols, from Cambridge, the AHS team squeaked out a 43-41 victory.  Overcoming a 31-23 halftime deficit the Bombardiers were led by Kerri Beland, 18 points, and Emily Houle, 17 points.

In the second game of the day, fueled by 22 points from Houle, the AHS girls earned another hard fought victory over St. Bernard’s of Fitchburg, 46-42.

The Saturday competition saw the blue defeating Lincoln-Sudbury, 39-34.  Kerri Beland  led all scorers with 12 points and senior co captain Bri LaPlume added 10 points and 9 rebounds.  Houle chipped in with 7 points, followed by 5 points each, from Kim Runey and freshman, Sarah Deyo.

In the final game of the two day tournament the Bombardiers took home a 49-31 victory over Coyle –Cassidy.  All 11 AHS players broke into the scoring column, with Houle hitting for 12.

Tryouts for the 2013-2014 season are being held in the AHS gym December 2-6.
