Attleboro's 5th Annual Expo for the Senses

The City of Attleboro will present its fifth annual Expo for the Senses, on Saturday, June 15, 2013.

This familyfriendly, outdoor event will be held from noon to 5pm in Attleboro’s downtown, and will feature The Attleboro Arts Museum Craft Fair & Art Sale, live bands and performances, glittering jewelry/precious metal exhibits, and food samplings by area restaurants and caterers.

This year's expo will feature crafts from 27 different vendors, spanning the likes of different types of jewelry, scarves and other wearables to works of art, toys, fragrances and more! 8 Local food vendors will be out and about selling portioned plates of selections of their menus. There will be plenty of local flavor on hand to choose from and enjoy throughout the day. Attleboro Jewelers will also be at the event, having their own Jewelry sale and exhibit. There will be games and jewelry raffles from participating vendors happening here, so be sure not to miss this portion.

In addition to the aforementioned, there's still more to see and do at this year's expo for kids and adults, alike. Popular favorites like the rock wall, caricatures and face painting will make return appearances throughout the festivities. Freddie the Talking Fire Engine will be stopping by in the Kids Court. Take a break during the day and stop by the Music Tent, as live music will be happening all throughout the afternoon.

Still not enticed?

New to this year's expo will be New England's first mobile zipline! Take the leap of faith and experience one of the newer features in this year's expo (And take in a nice view of downtown Attleboro while you're up there.) You might even notice this year's chalk art "sidewalk masterpieces" being worked on as you fly by. Local artists create sidewalk paintings inspired by the great masters! The first place will be awared the Chalk Crown and title of Duke (or Duchess) of chalk!

Lastly, at 4pm, the decorated bike and carriage parade will take place. This portion is open to all preschoolers, elementary, and middle schoolers. Participants will be asked to decorate their bike, doll carriage, wagon, big wheel, or other wheeled vehicle (No skateboards or roller skates by request of the city) in a creative manner. Check-in will be happening from 12-3pm on the Arts Museum's lawn (86 Park Street).

If you're looking for something (or multiple things!) to do on Saturday during the day, stop by this year's expo! The weather forecast looks strong and there's much to see.
