In just a couple of days (11-2-2013) , the Attleboro Arts Museum will host it's 22nd Annual Benefit Art Auction. This fundraiser is the biggest of the year for the Museum, and always guarantees to be a fun night. Gracious donors from in and around Attleboro(And elsewhere in the country!) have come together to provide 176 different items/services to help benefit the Museum.
The evening kicks off at 5:30pm when the doors open. Hors d'oeuvres will be served by Fine Catering by Russell Morin, starting at 5:30 and going on through until 6:30. Guests may come in and get one last good look at the artwork while enjoying some food as well as beverages, the latter of which will be provided all evening.
With so many different mediums, sizes, and prices to choose from, there is something for everybody at the auction. Additionally, there will be seven special baskets raffled off, each one filled with items to fit a particular theme (Wine, Beer, Garden, Pet, Kids, Art, Kitchen/Gourmet).
The live auction is slated to start at 7:00pm. Chris Barber from Skinner, Inc. will be the evenings auctioneer. Barber will take care of the duty of auctioning off 57 pieces as well as trying to raise money for important museum supplies that are needed. Immediately following the live auction will be the closing of the silent bays and the announcement of raffle winners. Guests for the evening will have the chance to place final bids into each bay in 8 minute intervals as they close, one at a time. Raffle winners will be announced between each bay-closing and are not required to be present in order to win.
