Story of Stalker filmed in Attleboro

Attleboro resident Al Kholi and a group of friends shot a whirlwind series of scenes at DoubleACS on Union Street for “The Stalker” -  Outlaw Productions’ entry in the Boston 48 Hour Film Project.  

Kholi and a four-person cast shot the film in the studio for about three hours before breaking for lunch at , then continuing shooting on location throughout Attleboro.

The movie will be shown tonight, 7 p.m., at Kendall Square Cinema, 1 Kendall Square, Cambridge, MA, along with several other entries.   Kholi, who also competed in the Providence 48 Hour Film Project last year with “The Eternals” about a soul-sucking vampire, said he entered the Boston version for the experience and to expand his range.  

Kholi registered for the Boston festival April 2nd. He got his instructions, including the genre of movie – science fiction, Friday at 7:30 p.m. By 9 a.m., he was at with cast and crew reviewing the script and scheduling scenes.  

“The Stalker” is a surrealistic, introspective series of scenes between the protagonist, referred to only as the “hero,” and a cast of companions and opponents, with a revelation of the hero’s existence for the audience, though not necessarily for anyone in the film. “It was fun, it was enjoyable. I was very happy with the script and how quickly we put the story together,” Kholi said.
