Get Out: Block Party, Sparky, Dancing and Skating

Sharpen those new or old skates, dust off those dancing shoes and go have some fun.

As the holiday season comes to a close and our lives start to settle down.  Take time to relax and enjoy some fun activities this coming week.

Sparky's Puppets
Where/When: Seekonk Public Library 410 Newman Avenue, Seekonk, MA - Tuesday, Dec. 27 at 6:30 p.m.
Why Go: 
Stories from "Snowy Lands". Watch as a snowman comes to life, a bear goes ice fishing and visit a toymaker.

Rehoboth Contra Dance
Where/When: Goff Memorial Hall 124 Bay State Road, Rehoboth, MA - Friday, Dec. 23 at 8 p.m.
Why Go: 
All dances will be taught this evening by dance leader Lisa Greenleaf. Music will be performed by Perpetual e-motion with Ed Howe and John Cote. Partners not necessary.  
Pricing: General Admission: $8, Children Ages 16 and under: $5, Families with children 18 and under: $18

Skating - Holiday Special 
Where/When: Bank of America City Center 2 Kennedy Plaza, Providence, RI - Sunday, Dec. 25 at 4 p.m. - 10 p.m.
Why Go: 
Sharpen those skates or if you just got them as presents, go test them out on this holiday special.  Gather family and friends and start a new tradition. It may not be Rockafeller Center in New York, but our skating rink is twice the size. www.kennedyplaza.org/skating-information

Home for the Holidays Tour
Where/When: Historic Hearthside Homestead 677 Great Road, Lincoln, RI - Tuesdays, Dec. 27, Wednesday, Dec. 28 at 6:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.
Why Go: 
Visitors will be greeted by seasonal music playing on an antique stringed dulcimer and guides are dressed in a victorian attire. www.hearthsidehouse.org

Kids Block Party
Where/When: Providence Children's Museum 100 South Street, Providence, RI - Monday, Dec. 26, Tuesday, Dec. 27 at 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Why Go: 
Mix and match the Museum's massive collection of colorful building materials. Kids can use their imaginations using different shapes, sizes and colors and create towering structures.  www.childrenmuseum.org
