Get Out: A Rockin' New Year's Eve

What do masquerade, comedy, bright nights and the Breakers have in common? A New Year!

If you enjoy going out on New Year's Eve, there are plenty of places to go to this weekend. Here's a look:

Masquerade Ball
Where/When: Rhode Island Convention Center 1 Sabin Street, Providence - Saturday, Dec. 31, 8 p.m. to 3 a.m.
Why Go: 
The party will feature bands, Hor d'oeuvres, six different bars stations, and a complimentary champagne toast at midnight. There will also be a masquerade ball fashion show featuring I Wink clothing. DJ's Freezy, Spin and Valentina will be playing the music. Dresscode for men is sports coats, suits, or tuxedos. Women should wear a gown or cocktail dress.    
Pricing: $60 and up

Comedy Night in Foxboro
Where/When: Orpheum Theatre 1 School Street, Foxboro, MA - Saturday, Dec. 31, at 9 p.m. (Doors open at 8:30 p.m.)
Why Go:
Hypnotic stage entertainer Joe Devito performs.
Pricing: $20, $30 and $40

East Providence Laughs
Where/When:
Comedy Connection, East Providence - shows at 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. 
Why Go: 
You can get in your laughs with Ace Aceto and PJ Thibodeu.
Pricing:
$25

Bright Night - Providence
Where/When: All over Providence, Saturday, Dec. 31, from noon to midnight
Why Go: This annual event will feature comedy, magic, a mentalist, tons of music, songs, stories, jugglers and puppets. 
Pricing: $15 until Dec. 30, $20 on Dec. 31

New Year's Eve At The Breakers
Where/When: The Breakers, 44 Ochre Point Avenue, Newport - Saturday, Dec. 31, at 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Why Go: 
Take a leisurely self-guided tour through the mansions as you enjoy live holiday music and sample holiday sweets, eggnog and cider. 
Pricing: Adults: $35, Children (6-17): $10

Mardi Gras
Where/When:
Mardi Gras Nightclub, Cranston, Saturday, Dec. 31, starting at 7 p.m.
Why Go: The nightclub is throwing a bash featuring a Champagne toast, DJs, live music by AC/DC Tribute Dirty Deeds, Godsmack tribute Voodoo and Good Ol Boys. Along with the music comes a complimentary grand buffet at 7 p.m. and prizes including a 32-inch flat screen TV, Bruins tickets and a snow board.
Pricing: Cover is $20.
