Theatre: "Moonlight and Valentino" Matinees

Attleboro Community Theatre presents "Moonlight and Valentino," written by Ellen Simon, Neil Simon's daughter, and directed by Jack Shipley.  Performances are Friday and Saturday nights at 8 pm through Oct. 22; and Sunday afternoons at 2 through Oct. 23. Tickets are $17; $15 for senior citizens and students.

When Rebecca's family and closest friends arrive on her doorstop following the sudden, accidental death of her husband, they bring their own baggage and distinctive personalities: a controlling ex-stepmother, a naive younger sister and an eccentric best friend. After a sexy painter is hired to paint Rebecca's house, each woman learns that, when all is said and done, laughter is the best medicine. Starring in the show: Kelly McCabe (Seekonk) plays the title role of "Rebecca," Myles Winter (Newport, RI) plays the role of "Sylvie," ACT President, Barbara McCarthy (North Attleboro) plays the role of  "Alberta", and Jenn White (North Attleboro) completes the female cast in the role of "Lucy."  Finally, the one and only male in the show is Joseph Marketos (Coventry, RI) who plays the sexy house painter, "Valentino."
