“The Wonderful Wizard of Oz” will mark the third straight year in which DCA students have successfully staged dramatic productions in the spring. According to Administrator Frank Rydwansky, the school has placed greater emphasis in recent years on increasing opportunities for students to express creative and artistic abilities.

“The Wonderful Wizard of Oz” is approximately one hour in length and is widely considered to be an entertaining and fast-paced dramatization based upon the timeless and exciting L. Frank Baum classic adventure story, “The Wizard of Oz.’ The play’s primary character, Dorothy, finds herself magically transported from a farm in Kansas to the strange and magical Land of Oz, where she meets such iconic figures such as the Munchkins, Wicked Witch of the North, Wicked Witch of the West, Scarecrow, Tin Man, Cowardly Lion and Wizard of Oz.
