What Part of Attleboro Should Receive a Paint Job?

Benjamin Moore announced yesterday that two to three blocks in Attleboro will receive a paint job.

The "Main Street Matters" program will provide paint and supplies needed for facades, porches, railings, shutters and other exterior building trims. The company will also provide experts and painters needed for labor.

"We are certainly thrilled to be selected by Benjamin Moore to be a 'Main Street Matters' community," Attleboro City Planner Gary Ayrassian told Attleboro Patch. "We are working on so many different fronts and with so many great people from a variety of governmental agencies to improve our downtown, our City, and participation in the “Main Street Matters” program is yet another opportunity for us to further enhance and beautify our  downtown. Being selected from among so many other communities throughout the US and Canada is a testament to the overwhelming outpouring of support and enthusiasm by the residents of our City. We will be working with Benjamin Moore representatives and color experts in the coming weeks. I think it will be a fun program to work on and we look forward to getting started"

So now, the question is: Where should we paint?

A few Attleboro Patch readers already had some ideas:

I'd love to see those buildings just south of the Larson Senior Center on S Main and across from the Chronicle -- the ones that have housed those vacant storefronts for decades -- get some Benjamin Moore TLC.

Paula,
Those are the exact buildings I was thinking of too! I'm so excited about this! I voted 3x's a day as did everyone I know. I can't wait to see the results.

That's a great location for some TLC. Those vacant buildings are across from the train station and not a very welcome site. I grew up in Attleboro and now live in Seekonk. Still, if volunteers are needed, I'm in! Congratulations to Attleboro!
