Viewfinder: On the Hunt for Salamanders at Caratunk Wildlife Refuge

Salamanders were hunted, found and returned to their homes at the Aududon Caratunk Wildlife Refuge.

The Salamander Meander attracted about 30 men, women and children to the Caratunk Wildlife Refuge located off Brown Avenue. The area is managed by the Audubon Society.

Guided by naturalists Mike Tucker and  Joe Kroger, they divided the group to provide a hands-on experience for even the youngest members of the group. The center provides wonderful hiking trails and wonderful programs including more options for the upcoming weeks.
