Snow, Sleet Expected Tonight and Tomorrow

Two to four inches of snow could accumulate, according to the National Weather Service.

Spring does not begin until Wednesday, and just in case you need a reminder this is still winter, Mother Nature has planned a snow and sleet event that is expected to begin tonight and last through Tuesday. Two to four inches of snow could accumulate from the storm, according to the National Weather Service, which has issued a winter weather advisory that will be in effect from 9 p.m. to tomorrow at 11 a.m.

There is an 80 percent chance of snow late tonight. The National Weather Service's Tuesday forecast calls for a 100 percent chance of precipitation. What is expected to begin as snow will turn to snow, sleet and rain by early Tuesday morning. After 10 a.m., it should be pure rain falling from the sky. There is a 40 percent chance of more snow and rain Tuesday night.

Today's daytime high is expected to reach 37. At night, the temperature could drop to as low as 29. Tomorrow's forecast calls for a daytime high of 44 and a nighttime low of 28.
