Rain Coming to Attleboro, Seekonk

A drizzle is possible early Saturday morning. More intense rain is expected for Sunday.

The stretch of dry weather in Attleboro and Seekonk is expected to end this weekend, according to the National Weather Service. 

"Areas of drizzle" are predicted for the early hours of Saturday morning. The skies should clear for Attleboro Youth Baseball's , which begins at at 10 a.m. It is expected to be mostly cloudy with a high near 72 during the day.

More intense rain, although nothing dramatic, is expected in the early hours of Sunday morning. Up to a quarter-inch of rain is possible after midnight, with the chance of precipitation being 70 percent. Late night/early morning wind gusts could reach 22 mph.

Rain is expected to continue throughout Sunday (80 percent chance during the day and 90 percent chance at night), with up to three quarters of an inch falling in the daytime and up to two inches dropping in the area at night. The daytime high could reach 59 and at night it could hit a low of 44.

There is an 80 percent chance of more rain on Monday when the children return to school. The chance of precipitation is 80 percent before 4 p.m. More rain is possible (40 percent) at night. The daytime high could reach 56 and the temperature is expected to fall near 40 at night.

The skies are expected to clear for Tuesday, with the NWS predicting "partly sunny with a high near 59."
