Portuguese-American BBQ, Cirque Du Soleil and a Little Bit Country

Here are some fun events that include lions, tigers and bears, a kayak ride, country music, an amazing circus and blade meat!

  1. 'S 62nd ANNUAL BBQ 
    Where/When:  Portuguese-American Club, 65 Prairie Avenue, Attleboro, 5 p.m.-10 p.m. Friday, July 29-Sunday, July 31 
    Why Go: Enjoy three days of food, music and fun in the 'Boro! This event will feature live music by local bands and children's activities including a moon walk. A variety of food will be available at reasonable prices including blade meat, fava beans, bacalhau (cod fish), hot dogs, french fries and steak on a stick! 
    Pricing:  Parking and admission are free! 
  2. CIRQUE DU SOLEIL, QUIDAM 
    Where/When: Dunkin Donuts Center, Providence, July 27 to July 30
    Why Go: Do not miss this spectacular, artistic and entertaining show! Quidam has toured on five continents and has an international cast featuring 52 world-class acrobats, musicians, singers and characters!

  3. LIVE MUSIC AT TOBY KEITH'S BAR AND GRILL  
    Where/When: Toby Keith's Bar and Grill, 275 Patriot Place, Foxboro, July 29 and July 30 at 9:30 p.m.
    Why Go:  Bring your cowboy hat and boots and come on down to Toby Keith's for a night of music and fun! This weekend will feature live music from The Eric Grant Band on July 29 and the Tom Dixon Band on July 30.

  4. LINCOLN WOODS STATE PARK AND BEACH
    Where/When: Lincoln Woods State Park, 2 Manchester Print Works Rd., Lincoln, RI, open daily
    Why Go: Enjoy a day of swimming at the fresh water beach, hiking, jogging, trout fishing, playing ball,  horseback riding, or just relaxing under a tree! A new addition to the park is the Eastern Mountain Sports kayak school where you can rent a kayak or canoe right at the water's edge!
    Pricing: Free admission! 
  5. Where/When:  Capron Park Zoo, County St., Attleboro, open daily 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. 
    Why Go: Come see the baby emu chicks and enjoy a fun outing without leaving the Boro!  Capron has something for everyone including a tropical rainforest, African Lions, lemur's and meerkat's.  The zoo also includes a new splashpad which is a perfect way to cool off on a hot summer day! Bring a picnic lunch as the zoo is surrounded by lush grounds including a picnic area and playground.
    Pricing: Attleboro Resident: Adult $5.50, Age 3-12 $4.50, Senior $3.75 under 3 is free. Non resident: Adult $7, Age 3-12 $5.50, Senior $4.75
