This great mom had some beautiful kittens, but Mamma needs a home, too. She's a great mom, and sweet and loving, and needs a home to call her own.

Take a look at Mamma and all the other wonderful adoptable pets at the Friends of the Attleboro Animal Shelter.

How do I begin to tell you how much love my adopted cats have brought, There is sort of, awesome circumstance . My wife passed away in November last . She knew of my love for Maine Coons. Strangely after her death I was looking through the Attleboro Animal Shelters postings. Low and behold was a kitten called "Big Pappi". Not thinking at the moment I asked my daughter to accompany me to said shelter. Low and behold is my dream cat !!! Instantly we adopted him and renamed him "PYEWACKET" This name comes from a 1958 movie called "BELL BOOK and Candle. I was as a teener in love with KIM NOVAK !!! She and Jimmy Stewart stared in this movie (be still my heart) with his new name and my current adoptee Comet, I had a wonderful experience. They got along wonderful. Is this not heaven planned ? I Suggest you take yourself to our local animal pound and ADOPT !! The people who volunteer are just beyond belief. They inserted much happiness in my life. I owe them big time. Donations are welcomed.

My condolences on the death of your wife. But thankfully you have found a wonderful way to grieve and serve creatures in need. There are some on patch who might belittle your post and your actions but I applaud your 'finding the love you need'. No one can replace the love you felt for your wife but furr-persons have a way of filling part of the hole in our lives. Thank you for your posting. May you and Pyewacket and Comet have many good years together. Truly a blessing.
