Local Leaders Raise Money for Fireworks

The annual fireworks show will take place July 4 at Hayward Field.

Despite the rain, volunteers were in front of Attleboro's Dunkin' Donuts locations Saturday morning to collect money for the Fourth of July fireworks fund. The annual fireworks show at is a fun, but expensive, program, so thousands of dollars are needed to pay for it.

City Councilor Jeremy Denlea and state Rep. Betty Poirier stood in the rain Saturday at the  on 217 South Main St. to collect money. Volunteers will continue to collect every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
