Last Chance: Enjoy a Break from School

Public school students from Attleboro and Seekonk have the week off.

This week is the last chance for the young people of Attleboro and Seekonk to enjoy a break from the 2011-12 public school year. April vacation begins today—and the weather appears to be cooperating.

A high of 86 is expected for today, according to the National Weather Service. This means you should be enjoying the break outside. But be smart about what you do, especially since the NWS says there are "favorable fire weather conditions," and has issued a Fire Weather Watch that will be in effect from the afternoon through the evening for all of Massachusetts as well as northern Rhode Island and northern Connecticut.

The heat wave will continue on Tuesday, when the daytime high will be 80. Temperatures will dip into the 60s for the rest of the week.
