Joshua Tree, Animal Encounters and More to do This Weekend

Easter weekend is here and April vacation is drawing to a close. Here are some fun events that include a YouTube sensation, Good Gravy, animal encounters and a Joshua Tree!

  1. Singing Sensation of Greyson Chance & Cody Simpson 
    Where/When: Showcase Live, 23 Patriot Place, Foxboro, MA, April 23 at 12:30 p.m.
    Why Go:   Come see 13 year-old singing sensation Greyson Chance perform live!  Greyson posted a clip on YouTube singing Lady Gaga's "Paparazzi" and never imagined the video would be viewed by more than 29 million people!  Greyson appeared on "The Ellen Degeneres Show" and signed a contract with Atlantic Records, which is releasing his pop single "iYiYi" featuring Flo Rida on June 1. Call for tickets soon as this show is standing room only.

  2. Where/When: Capron Park Zoo, 201 County St., Attleboro April 22 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
    Why Go: Come enjoy a fun day of animal encounters, exhibit talks, crafts and more as the Capron Park Zoo celebrates the diversity of Africa!  All of the activities are included in the zoo admission!

  3. Borderland Skate Park
    Where/When:  Borderland State Park, 259 Massapoag Ave., North Easton, MA, Open daily 8 a.m. to sunset 
    Why Go: If you are in the mood for hiking, biking, picnicking, fishing, birding, canoeing, walking or mountain biking Borderland State Park has something for you! Come spend a day in the great outdoors with the family!

  4. Tribute to U2
    Where/When:  Showcase Live, 23 Patriot Place, Foxboro, MA, April 22 at 10 p.m.
    Why Go: The Joshua Tree is The Nation's premier tribute to U2 that generates a unique musical experience without compromising artistic integrity. The band covers all phases of U2's amazing career including favorites from the 1980-1987 period (October, War, Boy, The Unforgettable Fire, and The Joshua Tree)!

  5.  Good Gravy Music and More at Corinne's  
    Where/When: Corinne's, 1593 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, RI, April 23 from 7 to 10 p.m. 
    Why Go: Come see Attleboro native Gay Barboza and Sean Compton perform top 40 hits from the 70's to today.  They cover songs from The Eagles, Journey, Sarah Maclachlan, Bon Jovi, Fleetwood Mac, Kelly Clarkson, Fergie, Pink, Pearl Jam, U2 and more!
