Fundraiser Supports Home Heating Assistance

The Attleboro Youth Commission's free event will include food, drinks and auctions.

An annual fundraiser hosted tonight by the Attleboro Youth Commission will raise money for the HEAT Fund and the Attleboro Energy Fund, which help local families who cannot afford heat for the winter. The event at the Elks Lodge (887 South Main St.) will take place from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

"It will feature a silent auction of gift baskets with gift cards and items from local businesses and a live auction of more expensive items, such as tickets to the Boston Bruins, performed by dueling auctioneers City Councilor Richard Conti and AYC member Avi Nerenberg," wrote Commission Chair Harry Walsh in an email to Attleboro Patch. "There will be food and drinks available at no cost."
