Flash Flood Watch in Effect in Attleboro Through Friday Night.

The national weather service is urging caution.

The National Weather Service issued a hazardous weather statement warning of localized flooding in the Attleboro area through 9 p.m.

According to the statement, "widespread rain with ebedded heavier showers and thunderstorms will impact the region into tonight. Flash flooding will be a distinct possibility as some of the showers and storms may produce one-hour rainfalls amounts in excess of one inch. Storm total rainfall amounts will average between one and three inches."

The weather service warned that low lying areas or poor drainage areas are at risk for flooding.

Earlier in the summer La Salette Shrine's parking lot was completely engulfed in water due to heavy rain.
