The Attleboro Council on Human Rights To Host Communal Reading

The Attleboro Council on Human Rights is hosting a communal reading of Douglass's 1852 speech on the meaning of the Dec. of Ind. to the Negro on Oct. 15, 2-4 PM at the Second Congregational Church in Attleboro.  We would like invite the Council of Churches to participate in the reading with as many clergy as can participate.  The speech itself is a 30 minute version with upto 45 readers from the community able to read a paragraph.  The event is moderated by Prof. Sam Coale of Wheaton College who will lead a discussion after the reading which will discuss the speech's relevancy in America today.  The event is a Mass Humanities program and more information is available on their web site, masshumanities.org.  Looking forward to your involvement.
