Bake Sale Supports Attleboro Dog Park

More than $400 is collected.

A successful bake sale took place in front of on Saturday to raise money for the future dog park in Attleboro. More than $400 was collected at the event, said Attleboro Dog Park Committee member Carol Ferraro.

Dog park enthusiasts received a huge boost recently when an anonymous party donated chain link fencing to surround the city-designated park area off Pond Street. Money is needed to pay for the posts, cement and installation.

"We are hoping that once we get the posts and cement that we will have some volunteers to do a sort of 'barn raising,'" Ferraro wrote in an email to Attleboro-Seekonk Patch.
