Attleboro Farmer's Market Named as 'Most Celebrated' Farmer's Market

Attleboro ranks 13th in the I Love My Farmer's Market Celebration

Attleboro's Farmer's Market recently ranked near the top of a national list.

According to a recent list compiled by the National Farmland Trust, Attleboro Farmer's Market patrons have pledged $900 towards the The I Love My Farmers Market Celebration. Only 12 other farmer's markets participating have pledged more. Snellville Farmers Market in Georgia has pledged $5,460 to top the list.

The I Love My Farmer's Market Celebration encourages consumers to pledge to spend $10 at their local farmers market. The competition is ongoing and a final list will be released Sept. 9.

“Farmers and ranchers are the cornerstone of our country," Susan Sink, Vice President of Development and External Affairs at American Farmland Trust said in a statement Monday. "Yet their lands are under constant threat from development and unchecked urbanization. This is why we created the I Love My Farmers Market Celebration — to showcase the role that farmers markets play in keeping family farmers on their land. Pledging to spend $10 at your local farmers market shows your support for the farmers and ranchers who support you.”

Attleboro's Farmer's Market takes place between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Saturdays at Finberg Field. To pledge for Attleboro, click here.
