According to Administrator Frank Rydwansky, students walked laps of approximately one-half mile apiece in the adjacent parking lot of the South Attleboro Assembly of God Church. Students were chaperoned by DCA faculty and staff members and most were appropriately attired in T-shirts and shorts on a clear and brisk afternoon.

Students solicited donations in advance from family members, relatives and friends based on the total number of laps walked. Grade 8 students did not participate since they have completed their classroom obligations for the year and will graduate during a formal ceremony Thursday night.
