Rockland Trust Charitable Foundations Awards $2,500 Scholarship to Tri-County Regional Vocational High School Graduate

The Rockland Trust Charitable Foundation today announced that Keara DeRose, a North Attleboro resident and 2013 graduate of Tri-County Regional Vocational High School, is a recipient of the 2013 Rockland Trust Charitable Foundation Scholarship.  DeRose is one of 10 students from the Foundation’s service area who received a $2,500 scholarship.  The Foundation chose recipients based on financial need, academic achievement, character, and community involvement.   DeRose will attend the University of Massachusetts Amherst in the fall.

“Rockland Trust is pleased to support academic excellence and community involvement within young people in our service area,” said Valente.  “We are confident that this scholarship will help Keara, an ambitious, bright young woman, succeed educationally and personally.”

The Rockland Trust Charitable Foundation will award an 11th scholarship for $2,500 to a current Dean College student later this year.
